Tips when taking guitar lessons for beginners

If you have a teacher you’re working with he or she will probably pass these tips onto you but if you’re taking guitar lessons for beginners all by yourself you might appreciate some of the knowledge I’m about to pass on. When practicing you need to be doing it right. If you’ve lifted weights you’ve heard this too. Practice makes perfect but if you’re using the wrong technique you’ll only damage your skills, not improve them. Make sure your technique is good before you get into heavy practice.
It always pays off to start slow and get faster when you know what you’re doing. Keep everything slow and simple when you learn something new and as you get better at it you can speed things up, add more notes, etc. Before long you won’t need to keep it slow because your fingers will follow your orders with ease and create beautiful music.
